Watch our video, I Am Montclair. This 19-minute film features personal interviews with members of Montclair's famously diverse community, including people with and without disabilities, advocates, families and caregivers. At its heart, "I Am Montclair" is a community's call to action for greater acknowledgement, acceptance and inclusion of individuals with disabilities.

Visit the All Children's Playground at Edgemont Memorial Park. It incorporates specialized equipment and unique structures that allow all children, regardless of ability, to play together in a shared environment. Friends can play with friends; no one has to sit on the sidelines. Edgemont Memorial Park is located at 274 Valley Road, Montclair, NJ, and the All Children’s playground is located within it on Edgemont Road (a one-way street, between Parkway & Berkeley.)

Fill out the "Take Me Home Registry" questionnaire. Montclair has a registry for residents who may require special assistance in emergency situations. Information provided in the questionnaire is entered into the Montclair Police Department’s dispatch computer database and is used to assist Montclair Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services’ personnel in providing better services to residents in the event of an emergency. Enroll in "Operation Blue Angel" Lock Box Program, which is used to provide Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) access to a residence in the event of an emergency where the resident is unable to open the door. Eligible participants must be 55 years or older or have medical conditions that could lead to incapacitation, live alone, or are alone for extended periods of time on a regular basis. Completed forms should be returned to the Montclair Police Department, 647 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07042 Attn: Community Service Unit.
