The New Jersey Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) provides services that enable individuals with disabilities to find jobs or keep their existing jobs. Job Accommodation Network (“JAN”). For job-seekers, JAN provides free consulting services for individuals with physical or intellectual limitations that affect employment. For employers, JAN provides free consulting services for all employers, regardless of the size of an employer’s workforce. Services include one-on-one consultation about all aspects of job accommodations, including the accommodation process, accommodation ideas, product vendors, referral to other resources, and ADA compliance assistance. Via the Web: AskJAN.org offers more than 300 disability-specific publications, as well as the Searchable Online Accommodation Resource (SOAR), which enables users to explore accommodation options for different disabilities and workplace settings. On Demand:  JAN’s online service provides customers with individualized e-mail responses to questions about accommodations and the ADA.

USA JOBS is the federal government’s official job site. An individuals with a disability can apply and compete for any job for which you are eligible and meet the qualifications, but may be eligible for a special hiring pathway. USAJOBS does not provide direct phone support, but you can use the “Contact Us” form to send an email to the Help Desk where you can ask for assistance by phone or email. If the information doesn’t answer your question, click the Contact Us button located on the right hand side of that page or the Still need help? Contact Us button towards the bottom of that page.
