Motor Vehicle Crime
June 1, 2022 (Cornell Way): The resident reported that her unlocked 2021 Jeep Cherokee was entered the previous night. Her home surveillance footage shows two males exit an unknown vehicle parked on the street. One suspect enters the victim's vehicle and riffles through the center console and the glove box. The suspect then leaves the vehicle with an unknown item in his left hand. The second suspect remained outside of the victim's vehicle. Both males re-enter their vehicle and slowly traveled towards Woodmont Rd. Suspect one was a black male, dark complexion, thin build, wearing a black and white hat/mask combo, and black T-shirt. Suspect two was a black male, wearing an orange or red hooded jacket and matching mask.
Burglary / Theft
June 4, 2022 (Bloomfield Avenue): The victim reported that he went to Caribbean Grill and parked his green motorized Schwinn bicycle in front. When he left the bicycle was no longer there. It was valued at $1700.
June 6, 2022 (Montclair Avenue): The victim reported that she was asleep and woken up by a noise in her front room. Upon investigating it she discovered an unknown male asleep on a table in her apartment. She was able to wake the male up after several attempts. He left in an unknown direction. She described him as a Hispanic male, possibly in his mid-thirties, wearing jeans with white paint on them and a dark colored t-shirt. She also stated that he appeared heavily intoxicated.
