10K Run / 2-Mile Run-Walk
The annual Montclair YMCA-MRCA 10K Run/2-mile run/walk events take place on the second Sunday in June, RAIN OR SHINE.
The family-friendly events take place in front of the YMCA building at 25 Park Street, and it include a 2-mile fun run/walk as well as a 10K (6.2 mile) road race. There are also other activities such as a health fair, sports massages, a DJ spinning tunes, games for kids and a moonwalk.
Both organizations have been dedicated to helping improve health and wellness in the community. The Montclair Run is a great way for serious runners and families to kick off the start of the summer. More than 1,400 runners, walkers, volunteers and spectators of all ages from across Essex County and beyond are expected to participate.
Proceeds of the Montclair Run will be used for YMCA of Montclair and Montclair Recreation scholarships.
