Police Blotter March 16, 2021 – March 23, 2021

Vandalism

March 16, 2021 (Gates Avenue): The complainant reported that two signs on the property were defaced with blue paint. One sign had “777” spray painted in blue, another had “XX” written on it.

March 20, 2021 (Glenridge Avenue): An unknown person threw a padlock through the store front window of “That’s How We Roll”. Surveillance cameras capture a male suspect damage the window at 2:22AM. Entry into the store was not gained.

March 21, 2021 (Orange Road): The complainant reported that she parked her vehicle in the Orange Road Parking Deck between 4:00 PM Saturday and 11:30 AM Sunday. When she returned she discovered the roof to her vehicle had “caved in” as if someone had been jumping on it.

Thefts

March 16, 2021 (Maple Avenue): The complainant reported that she parked her vehicle on Maple Avenue and momentarily left it unlocked and unattended. When she returned she discovered her pocketbook missing. The victim’s credit cards were later used in Bloomfield, NJ.

March 16, 2021 (William Street): The resident reported that her bicycle was stolen from the front porch of her residence. The bicycle was covered but unsecured. It was described as a black and green Cannondale Hybrid valued at $400.00.

March 20, 2021 (Midland Avenue): The complainant reported that his vehicle was entered during the overnight hours. The vehicle was unlocked due to a faulty door lock. Reported missing was a plastic bag from the center console containing a driver’s license, debit cards, and gift cards.

March 21, 2021 (Clinton Avenue): The resident reported that their unsecured detached garage was entered during the overnight hours. Missing at this time is a men's 'Marine' brand hybrid mountain bike, 'Palisades Trail' edition, silver in color, with a red front fork part of the frame with the letters 'RST' on it, valued at $1,000.

March 22, 2021 (Bay Street): The complainant reported that his vehicle was entered during the overnight hours. Headphones, a backpack, and a Dell Laptop were stolen.

Arrest

March 16, 2021 (Warman Street): Mr. Santos Pena Figueroa (34 years old, West Orange) was charged with Criminal Trespass after the resident observed him on his property acting suspiciously.
