Senior Farmers’ Market Vouchers Available July 29

Representatives from the Essex County Division of Senior Services will be at the Montclair Farmers’ Market on July 29 to distribute Senior Farmers’ Market Vouchers worth $50 to eligible seniors. The vouchers can be used at the Montclair Farmers’ Market and are eligible for participating in City Green's Good Food Bucks program to double the value of voucher money, up to $30.

The Good Food Bucks program doubles the value of SNAP, WIC, & SENIOR FMNP benefits up to $30 – so $30 of SNAP, EBT or FMNP benefits buys another $30 of fresh produce at the Montclair Farmers’ Market.

  • Date: Saturday, July 29, 2023–distribution day for farmers market vouchers by Essex County
  • Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Location: Montclair Farmers Market, (Walnut Street Train Station Parking Lot)

Proof of eligibility is required. Please bring:

  • proof of identification (age requirement 60+)
  • photo ID: (Examples are Driver’s license, Senior ID, County ID, Passport
  • proof of income (examples are SNAP, SS Award letter, MEDICAID, Pension statement, check stub)

Eligible Essex County residents can earn no more than:

  • Annually – $26, 973
  • Monthly – $2,248.00
  • Weekly – $519.00

The Good Food Bucks program will run at the Montclair Farmers' Market through November 18.

Good Food Bucks helps eligible participants buy more fresh fruits and vegetables at New Jersey farmers markets and other grocers. When you use Families First SNAP/EBT at participating retailers, you automatically get Good Food Bucks.

The Garden State Good Food Bucks Incentive Program is made possible through a partnership with Partners for Health Foundation and City Green.
