The Township's office of Environmental Affairs has created the Montclair Green Film Series, in cooperation with Community Green, a state-wide non-profit group. Hosted at the Public Library's Main Branch at 50 South Fullerton Avenue, the films are shown on the third Thursday of every month, at 6:30 PM. All events at the Montclair Public Library are free.
These eye-opening films all cover some topic of environmental sustainability. Most have received critical recognition and awards from screenings at film festivals across the country and around the world. Speakers and experts on the respective topics are often invited from throughout the region to facilitate thought-provoking public discussions after the viewings.
Commencing in 2009, over 8 years we have screened more than 80 films, for free. Bring the family, a neighbor, or a friend to watch these compelling, enriching, entertaining documentaries.
